Shepherd’s shield: Beyond the panic button - multi level embedded safety design literature search
The research proposal has evolved to specifically examine multiple levels of embedded safety design that move beyond a simple UI in which an exit button is provided to exit an immersive scenario. This is detailed in a comprehensive document for which I am currently adding essential references before submitting it for consideration to a PhD panel.
The application is long overdue as other aspects of my life needed to fall into place first. Only time itself could resolve some of these challenges which is a little ironic given my temporal media interests.
Over the next few weeks I intend to update the references section of this journal, as I explore trauma-informed, Biophilic design and immersive design. Clearly I am unable to publish the proposal in full here but it is accessible online to those that need to view it at various points during the process.
Everyday, I ask myself, If not now… then when?
